The U.S. State Department has issued warnings for some areas like just across from Laredo Texas. If you do cross in one of these areas be aware and stay on the main highways. Get through the border towns without delay. You should not have to stop for gas and supplies until you get farther south and away from the problem areas. |

From personal experience the answer is a hard and fast YES. Most if not all Canadian and American Insurance does not cover you in Mexico. Mexican Insurance can be obtained just before you cross the border or over the Internet. Do a search or go to www.MexPro.com who will provide three online quotes. |
